The Colts, Steelers, Patriots, Cowboys, and Packers are the only undefeated teams remaining after week three. Where do they and the other 27 teams fall in place? More

» Fantasy Advice: Buy low before week 3
The Saints and Rams are 0-2, but don't think that Reggie Bush and Steven Jackson are done scoring this season. These two players and others should be targeted by fantasy owners this week while their stocks are low. More

» Fantasy advice: Sell High
“Sell high” means to get rid of a player while his value as at its peak, before it drops again. This is the same theory that stockholders use on Wall Street, but it works just as well in the fantasy football market. More

» Browns trade Frye to Seahawks
Cleveland has traded former starting quarterback Charlie Frye to the Seattle Seahawks for a sixth-round pick.
Fantasy Outlook:
Charlie Frye - Will be the backup quarterback behind Matt Hasselbeck in Seattle. Seneca Wallace is expected to see increased time at wide receiver
Derek Anderson - Will likely be the interum starter until Brady Quinn is determined to be ready to become the starter.
Brady Quinn - Is clearly being groomed to be the starter at some point this season. It is possible that Quinn gets the nod this week, but it is much more likely that it would happen in week three or four. More

» Eli Manning may miss one month with shoulder injury
New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has a slightly separated shoulder which is expected to keep him out at least a month, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen on Monday.
Fantasy Outlook:
Eli Manning - The Giants are emphatically denying this report, but Chris Mortensen tends to be pretty accurate with his findings. Either way, Eli Manning's shoulder was clearly bothering him late in the game as he missed the final drive after being examined by the team trainer. Manning threw for 4 touchdown passes and competely torched the Cowboys defense on his way to the biggest fantasy game of his career. If Manning is healthy enough to play, he remains a risky play due to the injury being to his throwing arm. Don't be shocked to see the Giants without Manning at the helm in week 2.
Jared Lorenzen - Will be the starter if Manning cannot play. Don't waste your time picking him up off of your waiver wire. If the fans thought Eli Manning was bad, wait 'til they see this offense without Tiki Barber, Eli Manning, AND Brandon Jacobs... Yuck.
Plaxico Burress, Jeremy Shockey, Amani Toomer - All drop significantly in value. Burress and Shockey remain potential starters just based on their ability alone. It's hard to bench a guy (Burress) who caught 3 touchdowns the week before, but Lorenzen is not familiar with Burress and does not have the arm that Manning does. Shockey may still be a decent option due to tight ends being somewhat of a 'security blanket' for new and young quarterbacks; but he will likely be asked to block more due to the Giants' backfield being banged up. Amani Toomer can almost be ruled out of your lineup completely, even though he put in a decent performance in week one. More

» Bears lose defensive starters Brown, Dvoracek for season
The defending NFC champion Chicago Bears have lost two defensive starters, free safety Mike Brown and nose tackle Dusty Dvoracek, to season-ending knee injuries sustained in the team's opening-day defeat at San Diego on Sunday afternoon.
Fantasy Outlook:
Chicago Bears defense - Even without these two players, Chicago's defense remains one of the best in the league. They had a tough matchup in week one against San Diego and played well enough to at least contain all-pro RB LaDainian Tomlinson. Don't jump to any conclusions and sit the Bears defense because of this. More

» Bucs' Williams 'questionable' for week 2 with bruised ribs
Bruised ribs forced the third-year pro to sit out part of the Bucs' season-opening loss to the Seattle Seahawks. They could sideline him again Sunday when New Orleans (0-1) visits Raymond James Stadium for Tampa Bay's home opener.
Fantasy Outlook:
"Cadillac" Williams - Though bruised ribs are extremely painful, they are something that is possible to play through. The assumption right now is that Williams will play in week two, but will be in a very limited role. Either way, the Bucs' offense has been abysmal for quite some time and the offensive line has not been able to open holes for Carnell to run through. Unless he is suddenly back for 100%, try to find a better option in week 2.
Michael Pittman - Still isn't worth much fantasy consideration. Even if Williams is ruled out of week 2, Pittman will be splitting carries with other players. More

» Vikings' Taylor sidelined with hip injury
Minnesota Vikings running back Chester Taylor was receiving treatment Monday for a painful injury on his side that sidelined him in the first quarter of the season opener Sunday.
Fantasy Impact:
Adrian Peterson - If it wasn't before, it is now crystal clear that the Vikings' top offensive player is rookie RB Adrian Peterson. Peterson exploded for over 160 total yards and one touchdown in his NFL debut, and the rookie is expected to take the bulk of the carries at least until Taylor returns to the lineup.
Chester Taylor - Should be watched very closely by his fantasy owners. If he is going to play right now, it will likely be in limited capacity and probably not anywhere near the goal line. The Vikings still have Mewelde Moore on their depth chart which should will allow them to keep Taylor on the bench until they feel he is healthy enough to return to being a bigger part of their offense. | » Quinn impressive in NFL debut |
With flashbulbs popping all around the stadium, Cleveland's rookie quarterback tossed two fourth-quarter touchdown passes in his first NFL exhibition game and looked better than any Browns quarterback in a 23-20 loss to Detroit on Saturday night. More
