Vertical Jump: Isaiah Stanback-Washington
Three-Cone Drill: Isaiah Stanback-WashingtonShort Shuttle Drill: Isaiah Stanback-Washington
Long Shuttle Drill: Isaiah Stanback-Washington
Bench: Troy Smith-Ohio State
Wonderlic: John Beck-BYU
On-field Drills: Drew Stanton-Michigan State
Who Will Rise the Most: Isaiah Stanback-Washington
Who Will Fall the Most: Tyler Palko-Pittsburgh
Best Player Not Going: Matt Moore-Oregon State

The invite list for the Quarterback class is very good and I think the only guy that they really missed on was Matt Moore of Oregon State who I believe, this includes myself, that many people wanted to see workout. O well though, we will just have to watch all of these other top Quarterback prospects. As you can see from my projections, I think Isaiah Stanback of Washington is going to show up in the best shape of his life and really shine. I think he will ultimately be a Wide Receiver in the NFL like Brad Smith. I think Drew Stanton of Michigan State is going to do very good as well. Stanton is a guy who has a tendency of testing well as his has great size, great athletic ability, and very good strength. I think Stanton will do very well in the throwing drills while putting up very respectable numbers in the forty and bench. I think a few others that could really help themselves are Troy Smith of Ohio State, Trent Edwards of Stanford, Jordan Palmer of UTEP, Matt Gutierrez of Idaho State, and Toby Korrodi of Central Missouri State. Smith will put up a good forty time, I believe the best amount of bench reps, and will look good in the throwing drills. Trent Edwards I think will look very good in the throwing drills and I think will give Drew Stanton a run for his money as best in the throwing drills. Jordan Palmer is a very strong Quarterback who will get to display his arm strength in throwing drills and should put up a good amount of bench reps. Matt Gutierrez and Toby Korrodi are in the same boat as Jordan Palmer. Both have very good body strength and strong arms. Toby isn’t the greatest overall athlete though and that won’t help him at all, though Palmer and Gutierrez will more then likely test well in those areas for their size. I think Tyler Palko of Pittsburgh will hurt himself the most this week. He isn’t a player who tests very well and if people started doubting his ability to play in the NFL due to lack of arm strength, then it will become an even bigger question mark this weekend in Indy. A few other names that you could see go down this week are Chris Leak of Florida, Zac Taylor of Nebraska, and John Stocco of Wisconsin. All of these guys have above average arm strength at best and none of them are that fast or test well. Leak is a better athlete then these two and could save himself with solid times in the speed drills, but his lack of top arm strength may cause him to look average at best in the throwing drills. Zac Taylor says he has gotten his forty time down a bit, but it still won’t be that good, especially for a guy of his size and Stocco is in the same boat. Like I stated at the beginning though, this is a very good group of Quarterbacks. Since Brady Quinn of Notre Dame isn’t working out and JaMarcus Russell of LSU isn't either, there really won’t be a battle for the number one Quarterback. But, the number three Quarterback spot is up in the air and Stanton, Smith, or Edwards could walk out of Indy as a late first rounder and the third Quarterback off the board.

Tight Ends
Projected Best of Testing
Forty Time: Martrez Milner-Gerogia
Broad Jump: Ben Patrick-Delaware
Vertical Jump: Greg Olsen-Miami (Fla.)
Three-Cone Drill: Ben Patrick-Delaware
Short Shuttle Drill: Greg Olsen-Miami (Fla.)
Long Shuttle Drill: Martrez Milner-Georgia
Bench: Zach Miller-Arizona state
Wonderlic: Jonny Harline-BYU
On-Field Drills: Greg Olsen-Miami (Fla.)
Who Will Rise the Most: Ben Patrick-Delaware
Who Will Fall the Most: Anthony Pudewell-Nevada
Best Player Not Going: Matt Herian-Nebraska

Though this year’s Tight End class isn’t specifically strong, there is a good amount of top talent and the guys in Indy didn’t really miss on anybody. The biggest name that didn’t make it had to be Matt Herian of Nebraska, a very fast and athletic Tight End who could make a lot happen with the ball in his hands, but he doesn’t have much strength and doesn’t bring much as a blocker. After taking a medical redshirt last year and having a below average senior season, I guess the men in Indy decided Herian wasn’t going to do much if they invited him anyways which is probably true. So, who will shine then? I think the name to watch for will be Ben Patrick of Delaware. Ben Patrick has showed up a stellar 6-3 250 lbs. and is drawing comparison to Vernon Davis. He has slimmed down and is in the best shape of his life. He looks athletic on tape but now, he looks like a freak. He is going to time very well in the speed drills and probably put up a good bench number and catch the ball well. Other big names to watch for are Greg Olsen of Miami (Fla.), Zach Miller of Arizona State, Martrez Milner of Georgia, Michael Allan of Whitworth, and Jonny Harline of BYU. Greg Olsen and Zach Miller will be battling for the number one Tight End off the board (though doubtful, if Ben Patrick puts up very similar numbers to Vernon Davis such as a 4.4 forty, then he will be in the running for the first Tight End off the board as well) and each of these guys will bring there A game. Both I think will look very good catching the ball, Olsen I believe will run a very good forty and put up average bench numbers where as Miller I believe will put up the best bench numbers and have some average speed numbers. Though Olsen and Patrick will run faster, I think Milner will be the fastest Tight End there. Milner is a very good athlete who has a lot of speed and quickness. He isn’t the strongest guy though and he will hurt himself a bit at the bench and in blocking skills, but I think he will still walk out as a positive due to the impressive numbers he will put up in the speed drills. Michael Allan and Jonny Harline are both expected to come in and put up very good numbers in the speed drills and both will need it because neither of them are very strong and certainly won’t wow anybody on the bench or in the blocking drills. I’m a bit iffy on how Allan will do in catching drills and he will do better then Harline on the bench, but Harline should do very well catching the ball which will help him as well. I think the Tight End that will hurt himself the most is Anthony Pudewell of Nevada. Pudewell isn’t the fastest or the strongest and simply just doesn’t test very well. A solid performer on the field, but isn’t going to impress anybody off the field. A few other names that may hurt themselves are Daniel Coats of BYU and Kevin Boss of Western Oregon. Daniel is a good player on the field and is a solid receiver and a very good blocker with great technique and gets excellent leverage. But, he isn’t very fast and doesn’t get much thrown his way at BYU and there is a reason for that and that is his hands are only average. He’ll do well on the bench and in blocking drills, but he will hurt himself in the speed drills. Kevin Boss has a good pair of hands and will do well in the catching drills and average in the speed drills, but he is quite skinny and not the strongest guy or best blocker. This weekend in Indy will help sort out some of the Tight Ends in this class a bit as well as help narrow out who the number one Tight End in this draft is. Greg Olsen and Zach Miller will be the headliners coming into this week and will be coming out, but Ben Patrick will come out as a household name as well and could rise up as high as the early second round.
