Post-Combine Wide Receivers Review

Combine Studs

- Calvin Johnson- Stud in every sense of the term. Calvin Johnson is clearly the draft's best prospect. He may have only ran a 40 at the combine, but there's no doubting a 4.35 is a very impressive time.

- Jason Hill- Jason Hill's 4.32 40 time immensely raises Hill's stock. Hill's 4.32 was the second best time at the combine and with his stock boost Hill should be a second-rounder, up from being a borderline Day 1 pick.

- Yamon Figurs- Recording the fastest 40 of the combine will obviously help your stock. Figurs has definitely moved up his stock from being a borderline late pick to likely a 4th or 5th rounder.

- Robert Meachem- Meachem put up a strong 40 time, did well in other drills, and may have moved himself up ahead of Jarrett and Bowe and potentially Ted Ginn depending on his pro day workout.

Combine Duds

- Johnnie Lee Higgins- Higgins was solid at the combine, but Higgins was expected to be a potential 2nd-round pick for his speed, and he didn't show that at the combine. There is a good chance Higgins' phone will not ring on Day 1 of the draft.

- Chansi Stuckey- Stuckey's stock took a big hit when he only mustered a 4.65 in the 40, a very disappointing time for a receiver. Stuckey was a 2nd-round possibility, but now he will likely not be chosen until Day 2.

- Sidney Rice- Rice was dissappointing at the combine, as Meachem and Bowe clearly showed they were better and Rice fell to the next tier of receivers. Rice is still a first-round possibility, but will likely fall to the 2nd round.

- Reggie Ball- Ball is a converted QB, but if he plans to make it in the NFL as a wide receiver, he's going to need to show he can run faster than a 4.8 40.
