- Tim Shaw- Tim Shaw probably stood out the most of any of the linebackers at the combine. Shaw put up a great 40 time (4.51) and was very impressive in the position drills. Shaw was overshadowed at Penn State by teammates Paul Posluszny and Dan Connor, and even was asked to move to end this year due to lack of talent (Shaw did, and played well, but moves back to his natural position). Shaw is a late Day 1 possibility after his great performance, and should not be picked any later than the fourth.
- Quincy Black- Black is definitely a great athlete, putting up the best results in the 40 (4.42), broad jump (10'4), vertical jump (41 1/2 inches), and the long shuttle (11.23). Black looked good in the positional drills as well and is a likely third-rounder.
- Antwan Barnes- Barnes had a great combine, putting up a 4.43 40 and 31 reps in the bench press, helping his stock a lot. Barnes is a Day 1 possibility and should go no lower than the 4th round.
- Justin Durant- Durant looked athletic and did very well in the positional drills, helping his stock and making him a second-round possibility.
Combine Duds
- Tony Taylor- Taylor hurt his stock a lot when he ran a 4.95 40, simply not acceptable. Taylor was a second-round possibility but will now likely have to wait until Day 2 to hear his name called.
- Earl Everett- Everett was disappointing, running a 4.88 40 and just not looking all that impressive. Everett looks to be a third-rounder at best.
