- Chris Houston - Chris Houston was the stud among the defensive backs at the combine, running a 4.32 40, and putting up 27 reps in the bench press, both best among defensive backs. Houston went from a first-round consideration but likely second-rounder to a definite first-rounder who is one of the top three cornerbacks in the draft.
- Eric Wright- Wright put up a 4.36 40 and was impressive in the positional drills, making Wright a likely choice for the early second round.
- Marcus McCauley- McCauley showed his speed and athleticism in the measurable drills, making McCauley a first-round possibility once again.
Combine Duds
- Daymeion Hughes - Hughes put up a 4.65 40, very slow for a cornerback. Hughes, a likely first-round choice, is now a third-rounder at best. Hughes did nothing to impress scouts at the combine and unless he has a good pro day he could find himself a Day 2 pick.
- Ryan Smith- Smith put up a 4.62 40 and 11 reps on the bench press. It seems unlikely Smith is drafted.
