JaMarcus Russell
Quarterback, LSU
Height: 6'6" | Weight: 260

Positives: Possesses rare size for a QB at 6’6, 260. Huge frame makes him difficult to bring down. Will stand tall and take the hit to make a throw. Possesses a quick release and keeps his eyes up looking for targets. Has tremendous arm strength, tops at the college level and possibly even the NFL level. Has the ability to step up into the pocket or to move outside. Can run if needed and throws accurately while on the run.

Negatives: Does not possess top-flight speed. Accuracy could be better, although he’s improved. A bit raw as a QB, needs to tune his mechanics. There are some questions about his off-the-field work ethic.

Overall: His arm strength is miraculous. Threw a 58 yard TD (through the air) against ND off of his back foot… while on the run. Has a high ceiling in regards to potential… could be an underachiever. Shows leadership at times and could help to turn around a franchise.

NFL Comparison : Daunte Culpepper, MIA
