Joe
Thomas
Offensive Tackle,
Wisconsin
Height: 6'6" | Weight: 310
Positives:
Large frame at 6’6, 310 with room too add weight.
Has great athleticism for his size and position. Very
agile and mobile with very good footwork. Can achieve
any type of block. Adjusts and moves quickly. Very intelligent
with work against good competition. Should become a
left tackle, as he has all the tools to play this critical
position.
Negatives:
Has not always been a tackle and is still learning the
position. Coming off of a knee injury during his junior
year of college. Does not possess tremendous strength
and needs to get stronger. Tentative at times, needs
to be more aggressive. Struggles with power rush and
bull rush techniques.
Overall:
Thomas
is a rare prospect with size, athleticism, and skill.
He should become a mainstay at tackle for whatever team
that drafts him. Nearly left as a junior until he hurt
his knee while playing defensive end during his junior
year. Best offensive lineman prospect in this year’s
draft.
